Gov. Malloy Announces Indeed to Significantly Expand Presence in Connecticut, Increase Stamford Workforce to Over 1,200 Employees
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and executives from Indeed today announced that the internet company has plans to significantly increase its presence in Connecticut by investing $26.5 million to expand its Stamford offices, where its workforce already exceeds 700 employees. The expansion project will see the creation of as many as 500 new jobs in the coming years, bringing the company’s Connecticut job presence to over 1,200 employees.

Gov. Malloy Announces Pharmaceutical Company Opening Manufacturing Facility in Windsor That Will Create 361 New Jobs
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that SCA Pharmaceuticals, an Arkansas-based company, has decided to establish a presence in Connecticut through the creation of a new 90,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Windsor, where the company has plans to create approximately 361 new jobs over the next four years. SCA manufactures injectable pharmaceuticals in ready-to-administer dosages for use at hospitals and healthcare facilities. The company helps healthcare facilities increase efficiencies and reduce costs while improving patient care.

Gov. Malloy Announces Magnetic Technologies to Relocate to Connecticut from Massachusetts
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Magnetic Technologies Ltd., an advanced manufacturer of high-quality, magnetic brakes for the wire and cable industry, is relocating to Putnam, Connecticut, where the company will build its new headquarters. The $5.26 million project will create 40 jobs over the next five years.

Gov. Malloy Appoints Doug Dalena as General Counsel
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is appointing Doug Dalena to serve as General Counsel in the Office of the Governor. Dalena currently works in the office as Deputy General Counsel. He joined the Office of the Governor in 2015.

Gov. Malloy Announces $61.5 Million to Support Affordable Housing Development in Diverse Communities
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Department of Housing (DOH) Commissioner Evonne M. Klein, and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) Executive Director Karl Kilduff today announced that the State of Connecticut will award more than $61.5 million in grants and loans to help create, rehabilitate, or expand 24 housing developments in 20 towns and cities across the state. The investments will create or rehabilitate 978 homes.

Gov. Malloy: KPMG to Add 110 New Jobs in Stamford
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, plans to add 110 jobs over the next five years in a new Stamford office. The company recently signed a long-term lease and plans to renovate space in the former UBS building at 677 Washington Boulevard, which it expects to occupy next spring.

Gov. Malloy Announces Mayborn Group has Relocated its U.S. Headquarters to Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Mayborn Group, a global manufacturer of baby products, has relocated its U.S. headquarters from Norwood, Massachusetts to Stamford, Connecticut. The company currently employs 16 and plans to add an additional 7 workers by 2019.

Gov. Malloy Announces Sema4 Plans to Relocate its New York Laboratory to Connecticut and Create Over 400 Jobs in the State
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Sema4, a Mount Sinai venture providing advanced genomic testing, is planning grow its presence in Connecticut by adding 408 new jobs over the next five years. The health information technology company is moving forward with expansions at its two existing locations in the state, including its recently announced headquarters at 333 Ludlow Street in Stamford and its laboratory at 1 Commercial Street in Branford. In addition, the company will soon be relocating laboratory facilities from New York City to a yet-to-be-determined site in Stamford. The move will bring the company’s job presence in Connecticut to at least 553 employees.

Governor Malloy Announces Jackson Laboratory Exceeds Job Creation Goal in Connecticut, Workforce Anticipated to Nearly Double in the Coming Years.
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that because The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) has exceeded its initial employment goals years ahead of schedule, the state has forgiven $165.9 million in loans used to construct their state-of-the art 185,000 square foot building on the campus of UConn Health.

Gov. Malloy Announces Opportunities for Local Communities to Remediate and Revitalize Clusters of Blighted Properties
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is now accepting applications for a second round of grant funding under a recently created state grant program that is designed to help local entities create plans for remediating and redeveloping clusters of blighted properties – also known as “brownfields” – within a community.

Gov. Malloy Announces Historic Long-Term Partnership with General Dynamics Electric Boat
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced an historic partnership with General Dynamics Electric Boat (EB) that will help the company grow their workforce by nearly 1,900 bringing it to more than 13,000 by 2034, allow for capital investments of greater than $800 million in the state over the next 17 years, and more than double their spending on in-state suppliers, which are located in 102 Connecticut cities and towns. Connecticut’s investment will allow EB to maintain its position as the highest-quality provider of submarines to the U.S. Navy, thus capturing additional overhaul and repair work while continuing the delivery of the Virginia Class Submarines.
