Governors Report 14 States and Puerto Rico are ‘On Track’ to Hit Paris Climate Targets
Citing recent extreme weather event as further evidence of the urgent need for climate solutions, the U.S. Climate Alliance (USCA)--an effort among 14 states and Puerto Rico to reduce greenhouse gas emissions--released a report showing that member states are collectively on track to meet and possibly exceed their portion of the U.S. commitment under the Paris Agreement.

DEEP Reports Small Die-off in Local White-tailed Deer Herd
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that a recently-discovered die-off of several deer in the Portland area may be due to hemorrhagic disease, which is one of the most important infectious diseases affecting white-tailed deer.

Kevin the Turkey Captured and Relocated
On Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at approximately 1:30 pm Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police Officers at the request of Wethersfield Police safely captured Kevin the Turkey of Wethersfield in the vicinity of Jordan Lane and the Silas Deane Highway.
