Gov. Malloy Announces Economic Assistance Grants Awarded to Small Towns Throughout Connecticut

Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Announces Expansion of Program to Help Elderly Renters Stay in Their Homes
On Wednesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference in New Haven to announce details of the expansion of the state’s Elderly Renters’ Rebate Program, which provides a direct reimbursement to lower-income elderly or 100 percent disabled renters to help offset a portion of their rent and utility expenses.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that his Chief of Staff Mark Ojakian will continue serving in that role going into the Governor’s second term in office. Governor Malloy also announced that he will re-appoint Benjamin Barnes as the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) when his second term officially begins on January 7, 2015.
